Who is Opera?

Opera is a character from the series Welcome to demon school Iruma-kun! (AKA Mairimashita! Iruma-kun ). An Anime and Manga series about the titular character who was sold to and adopted by a demon! Opera is the Security Devil and butler of the Sullivan household, taking care of the cleaning, laundry, food prepartion, time management, security, and transportation.

Personality

Opera has a reserved and down-to-earth personality while also being mischievous and occasionally sadistic, especially towards their former underclassman (and Iruma's teacher), Kalego Naberius, whom they enjoy picking on..

Operajumpscare

They're often the voice of reason for Lord Sullivan, voicing concern or making remarks about his antics.

As Sullivan's security devil and only servant, Opera has to deal with his whims on a regular basis.

Though they might get annoyed with Sullivan's personality, it doesn't harm their relationship at all. The two share a close bond built on trust and loyalty.

When not dealing with Sullivan, they are a loving caretaker to Iruma—helping him with his homework, giving him advice, and training him.

They once trained him for Execution Cannonball. Their training methods were tough, but worked wonderfully, earning Iruma a higher rank. This also strengthened their relationship a bit more.

They don't show their emotions often, but one of the few ways you can tell how they feel is through their ears and tail

Once you learn their body language, you can easily tell their mood.

Questions about them I see a lot

What is Opera's gender? Their gender is unknown and unimportant. Especially to me, Male or Female, both or neither they are beautiful to me.
What is their rank? Unknown. We do know that they're stronger than Kalego and Balam. And all three are likely strong enough to level a good chunk of land.
What about their past? Unknown. We know how they met Kalego and Balam but nothing else.

About us

I've known Opera since their anime aired, but I didn't truly fall for them until 2023. The series became a source of comfort during one of the worst times in my life. I started self-shipping as a way to cope with my emotions and trauma, and I resonated deeply with the main character of the series. (I'll go on about him later! Iruma shrine coming soon? I need to show how much I love my blueberry son.)
Opera, though... that happened suddenly. At first, it was just a joke:
"Haha, what if I kissed the cat demon butler from the wholesome demon anime~?"

And then, somehow, it wasn't a joke anymore.

I started noticing how reliable they were (which, isn't surprising since I crave stability). They're protective, strong, smart, and incredibly skilled. .

They have an amazing smile. I was done for. Like, honestly, how can you look at that face and not melt?

I never liked the concept of marriage, to be honest. That is, until I thought about it with them.
It actually surprised me. Of all characters, Opera was the one who made me think about marriage.

I said, "fuck it," and we "eloped" on October 13th, 2023. And then, for the first time in forever, I started thinking about a wedding. This was something I hadn't considered since I was a little kid.
When I was younger, I had a Disney Dream Wedding planned out, but let’s be real, I didn't care about the wedding part. I just wanted an excuse to go to Disney World and meet Mickey Mouse. Lil me didn't really get the wedding thing to be honest.

But when I thought about my elopement with Opera, I felt a little guilty. The characters from the series who mean so much to me would’ve wanted to be part of it. Sullivan would have happily paid for the biggest, most extravagant wedding and the prettiest dress. I felt bad that I just did it impulsively and didn't consider a wedding at all.
So... we had one on March 23rd 2024
It was silly, but I really enjoyed thinking about that wedding. Who attended? What did the dress look like? What was Opera wearing? (They prefer masc clothes so they wore a suit.) Opera

I hope to do more than just this digital shrine one day but at the moment all I have is a single plush as merch.
